Modeling reactors and their corresponding reactions is difficult by nature but can be rewarding if done correctly. Process simulation is extremely beneficial to engineers, allowing them to further understand processes, identify process advantages and limitations, and provide quantitative process outputs and properties. 5.1.14 Step 14: Add Reactors and Other Components.5.1.13 Step 13: Use a Distribution Function.5.1.12 Step 12: Create a New PSD mesh in CI Solid Form.5.1.11 Step 11: Specify PSD Section for a CI Solid Form.5.1.10 Step 10: Create Additional PSD Mesh.5.1.7 Step 7: Specify Properties of Desired Compounds.5.1.6 Step 6:Specify Proerty Specification.5.1.1 Step 1: Solids Flow Sheet Templates.5.1 Overall Steps of Aspen Plus Simulation.5 Aspen Plus Fluidized Bed Reactor Simulation.4.2 Continuous Stirred Tank Reactor (CSTR).1.4 Limitation (Aspen Plus Fluidized Bed Reactor Simulation).1.3 Aspen Plus Fluidized Bed Reactor Simulation.1.1 Aspen HYSYS Reactor Simulation Basics.Clearly, you must enter 0 vapor fraction to estimate vapor pressure.Įdited by P.Engr, 28 September 2010 - 01:17 PM. When you specify 1 vapor fraction, Hysys will give you the temperature at which heaviest component(s) of the mixture will boil (Initial Boiling Point). What does it mean?Īs far as i know, when you specify 0 vapor fraction, Hysys will give you the temperature at which lightest component(s) of the mixture will boil (Final Boiling Point). And when you specify 0 vapor fraction,Hysys gives -222.8 F. Composition of the condensate is as follows:Īt 14.7 psia, when you specify 1 vapor fraction, Hysys gives 77.17 F temperature. Today, i was working with a condensate obtained from a three phase separator. First of all, try to understand what does it mean by specifying 1 or 0 vapor fraction. However, for multi-component system, it does matter a lot. For single component system, it does not matter whether you specify 1 or 0 vapor fraction.
